Meet Beth

Hi, I'm Beth! - Owner & Metalsmith of Basecamp Jewelry
I create handmade, ethical, nature-inspired, .925 Sterling Silver jewelry with precious stones like turquoise, fire opals, jaspers, and moonstones in my home studio amongst the Rocky Mountains in Denver, Colorado.
Metalsmithing is my full-time job, next to being a Mama to my 2-year-old son Oakley, Dog Mom to my burbaby Lucy, and wifey to my hubs Austin.
I've been making jewelry since I was really young. It all started with me making custom seed bead necklaces & anklets for the neighborhood kids, but as I got older, I learned new techniques, and my skills evolved.
Although I've always loved jewelry, I also have a passion for Fine Art. In 2011, I graduated from SCAD, Savannah College of Art & Design, with a degree in Illustration. Even while I was painting in college, I kept creating jewelry on the side, and for the life of me, I can't tell you why I didn't change my degree to Metalsmithing...
By 2018, I began teaching myself how to Metalsmith by watching YouTube videos and helpful tips from other Metalsmiths who kindly shared their knowledge with me. After a few years honing in on my craft and moving to Colorado, I officially established Basecamp Jewelry in 2021.
It's important to me to live life where my time and energy go into something I deeply care about…For me, this is forging metal into wearable art. Each piece of my handmade jewelry is made with the intention that it will be passed down for generations. I value quality over quantity. I believe every piece of jewelry has a story to tell...an heirloom passed down to you from your grandma, or a ring you bought during your first cross-country road trip.
The name "Basecamp Jewelry" came from my love for camping, and also the idea that you'll wear these pieces like your baselayers that you will always come back to, pieces that tell your story, feel like home and armor that protects your wild soul.
